Jessica Sierra, Former American Idol Finalist, Arrested Again

Jessica Sierra, the former American Idol finalist, was arrested early Saturday, two weeks after pleading no contest to her recent charges of battery
and possession of cocaine.

The arrest followed an incident in a bar in Ybor City, Florida, where Jessica was allegedly creating a disturbance, and refused a police request to leave. Sierra was charged with disorderly intoxication and for attempting to flee after her arrest.

Sierra had been ordered to attend a drug rehabilitation program following her
last incident in which she smashed a glass on a man’s head. During that
incident the arresting officers found Sierra to be in possession of cocaine.

Jessica Sierra was a top-10 finalist on American Idol in 2005 but has since
run in to numerous legal issues involving assaults and alcohol and drug related
incidents. She is currently being held without bond.

The would-be singer, who has been in a drug-treatment program in California
after pleading no contest to cocaine possession, will be the subject of an episode
of VH1’s upcoming reality series Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew, premiering Jan.
10.

She is one of nine participants on the show, which will be hosted by Loveline’s
Dr. Drew Pinsky; others include Andy Dick, Tom Sizemore and former wrestler
Chyna.
